TECH HANGARS
PROJECT OVERVIEWThe Cape May County, NJ Board of Commissioners required a brand identity for their economic development project, a Tech & Innovation Hub built on the site of a former naval airfield and designed to draw the tech and UAS / AAM (unmanned aerial system / advanced air mobility) industries to the county. The Commissioners’ long-term goal is to foster a community of business and technological innovators that will make the county economy less dependent on tourism.

THE LOGO
Niki Jones Agency Created visual branding for the client-named Tech Hangars (a nod to the site’s history) reminiscent of the modern, minimalist feel of respected players in the tech industry. The logo’s use of squares and arches echoes Tech Hangars’ architecture, which prominently features barrel rooves and large, paneled windows.
COLOR PALETTE
The Logo’s color pallet connects the tech industry’s preference for uniformed neutrals with Tech Hangars’ coastal location by adding a splash of turquoise to charcoal.
