THE LOGO
Our redesign drew inspiration from the client’s original logo, which established the green, tree, and abstract valley themes. However, where the original utilized a shade of green closer to grass, our designers used a lush, forest green to match PEEC’s myriad opportunities for hiking, camping, and outdoor education. In the original, abstract shapes reminiscent of a river valley’s mountains appeared within a keystone, representative of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in which PEEC is located. We elected to keep the keystone but made its valley more recognizable, with its serpentine river shape being alternately viewed as a path to knowledge. The multiple trees surrounding the original logo became a single tree within the valley.
COLOR PALETTE
Our design team built PEEC’s new color pallet around colors found in nature, including varying shades of green, sky blue, and orange & lavender, respectively reminiscent of fall foliage and spring flowers.
